Schmidt Announces 2025 KS-02 Congressional Art Competition Winner

WASHINGTON, DC: Congressman Derek Schmidt (KS-02) today announced Topeka High Student Cooper Martin as the winner of the 2025 Kansas Second District Art Competition. His photo will hang in the U.S. Capitol, where it will be seen by hundreds of people from across the world every day over the next year.

BACKGROUND

Each spring, high schoolers from the Second District can submit their artwork for consideration in the Congressional Art Competition. The competition is an opportunity to recognize and encourage artistic talent across the district.

Cooper’s artwork will be displayed alongside the winning artwork from all participating congressional districts.
